The Beginning of Sheen's K-pop Craze?

    Greetings, Folks!
Or should I show up with annyeong- okay just kidding.

It's me again, Sheen. Well, It is my blog, duh.
So this time I'd tell my dear readers about how K-pop barged in to my life. Currently, I'm a big fan of girl groups, especially Red Velvet and Mamamoo. I've been into their concert before and that's such an unforgettable memories for me. It's not that I don't like boy groups but I prefer girl groups more? I like their songs though!

To be honest with you all, at first when this K-pop fevers all around the world started, I don't really like it. I really walked out of the room once my friend showed many kinds of K-pop music video. As I grow up, I've grown attached to gadgets and of course I really like to watch videos on the famous video platforms.

Then I stumbled upon a video of a girl group under SM Entertainment, F(x). I fell in love with Amber at that time. Then I got hooked inside this whirlwind called K-pop. The moment I like f(x), I simultaneously like Girls Generation and Red Velvet too. I searched and watched everything related to their activities in Korean entertainment industry then of course I stumbled upon such things as other groups from other agencies and other singers because of variety shows that I watched.

From there, this so called craze of mine started.

Once I really like something, I tend to go all out. Okay, a simple illustration is that I bought a lot of their albums and merchandise. I didn't mean to show-off or anything but it needs to be official merchandise, I feel like I betray them if I bought the unofficial one.

The first k-pop album that I bought is Taeyeon's I because I really love the aesthetic of the cover, music video, and of course, the angelic voice of Kim Taeyeon. Then the saga continues till now. There's Taeyeon, Red velvet, Twice and Mamamoo albums and merchandises currently. My next goal is to buy their official lightstick. Because yeah, I watched Red Velvet live when they haven't release their official lightstick and when Mamamoo came to my country and watched them live, I can't afford to buy the lightstick because I used the money to buy domestic flight ticket. I'll tell you about that another time, yeah?

Sure I was attracted by their visuals and vocals when I first know them but as time goes by I learned more about their personalities (In front of the camera of course), how they treat their fans, how the group and their fandom depends on each other is just like there's such a great of love and trust. Well, even though we can't deny that idols or anyone who work at the entertainment industry gave us such incredible shows, good laughs, fanservices for money. But it is worth it for the amounts of entertainment and such indescribable attachment for our favorite group. Not to mention such attachment often ended up in unhealthy relationship between the fans and their idols. You know what I'm talking about right my fellow k-pop fans? Yes, sasaeng fans.

Let's just talk about agencies the other time because that's just a LOT to talk about and to research more about it. I'll talk about my encounter with Red Velvet's Irene and Mamamoo members some other time in another k-pop corner as well!

So, yeah. That's pretty much the story how did I end up liking k-pop. Fellow k-pop fans especially Reveluv and Moomoo feel free to comment down below and mention your favorite group and your bias! Wait, my bias...? I don't have one since I love them all!

See you all later! Stay safe, stay healthy and stay hydrated! Bless you all.

Lots of love,

Sheen.
